GT23 is a standard saltwater ducer for the 94. Higher resolution and a larger screen make details easier to see and that's important for an old man like me.ĭefinitely possible, I was figuring it had a GT23 and he just got the two numbers backwards. The resolution of a 106sv is quite a bit higher than the 93sv or 94sv plus the screen is larger. There are other benefits of a 106sv over a 93sv or a 94sv besides the number of network ports. My plans for how I'm going to use everything together may change once I get to play with everything on the water but I do know that I'll still be using the Helix 12 at least for mapping and i-Pilot Link. I have a Helix 12 on the console for mapping, down imaging, side imaging, 2d sonar and i-Pilot Link right now and plan to use it as my main sonar display as of now. I'm putting one 106sv in the bow and one 106sv on the console and networking them together mainly for using LiveScope but I may use the 106sv on the console for side imaging, down imaging and 2d sonar also. Cabela's had a great sale on the 106sv displays with GT54 transducers on sale for $1000 for a short time and I ended up buying two. I recently did something similar and found that it cost almost the same price to buy an ECHOMAP Ultra 106vs that has two network ports than to buy another 93sv or 94sv with only one network port each. If he doesn't have LiveScope you're exactly right Kevin. If so he'll need a Network Port Expander and a network cable to network a 93sv and a 94sv along with a LiveScope LVS32 transducer since both the displays have only one network port each.
